We tentatively entered the world of quantum back in 2019. To be honest, I wasn’t sure what we were getting into. Our agency, HKA Marketing Communications, previously enjoyed several decades of successful PR work for many different industries. We were, in a word, eclectic. 

But all that changed when we first dipped our toes into quantum. One client led to two, and soon it became three. Before long, it was full-body immersion! We aren’t physicists, or scientists of any stripe.  We are professional communicators, including former journalists, who emphatically chose quantum tech for our focus. The more entangled we become, the more thrilled we are that we are the pioneer in quantum tech PR. 

Which brings me to this website, TheQuantumSpin.com. We are proud to be launching this website during the International Year of Quantum Science & Technology (IYQ2025) as an educational, informational resource for the global quantum industry. We also are proud to be the Strategic Partner for PR for IYQ2025. We will be updating this website weekly, so please come back, again and again, to see what’s new. 

During the past six years, we have worked with many incredibly smart founders who brought their technology out of the lab and into a company setting. Besides all of them being incredibly brilliant about their own technology, and quantum physics in general, most founders had little understanding of HKA’s world: PR and marketing communications.  

And that’s why we created this website as a resource, accompanying our podcast, TheQuantumSpin by HKA, our webinars and newsletter. We think you will find our glossary of PR and marketing terms to be helpful in deciphering both traditional and new marketing terms. And we will post a new Q&A each week – feel free to send in your own question using the form on the website (OK to be anonymous if you want).  

But that’s not all. There are many other areas of business know-how that quantum tech companies need to know about, so we have expanded the website to feature our newly created Quantum Experts Forum – business-savvy individuals we know and trust who are also in the quantum industry. Each week, one expert from our Quantum Experts Forum will be featured with a blog post (in this spot) offering both insights and useful information.
